Université de Moncton’s Aigles Bleus (1-9-2= 4 points, 7th position) will have a good challenge with two weekends home games at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in Atlantic University Sport hockey action.

The men’s team will host Acadia University Axemen (8-3-1= 17 points, 3rd position) on Friday, and Saint Mary’s University Huskies (8-3-1= 17 points, 3rd position) on Saturday. Both games will take place at 7 p.m. Coach Judes Vallée is happy that injured players Robbie Graham, Samuel LeBlanc, Danick Emond and Victor Beaulac should reintegrate the line-up on Friday.

“We are going to play our best against these teams,” stated Moncton coach Judes Vallée. “Acadia has many dominant players while the Huskies have four very good lines. These are two very fast teams with very good depth on the benches. I need to play my rookies in very difficult circumstances, and they are gaining experience very fast. Our situation is hard on the morale of the players, but we still forge ahead.”

“We are getting a lot of ice time these days, we are there to help the team,” stated Dieppe’s rookie player, Ryan Chiasson. “I am enjoying university hockey. We will be playing two big games this weekend and our preparation will be like the others. We are going to play hard, perform and do our job. We did play those teams last weekend, and we will play different games this weekend. We had a good look at the video, and we will keep our good plays and change the ones that caused us problems. My transition from junior to university is going well, the players are faster, bigger and some more than four years older. This is a new challenge for me and I enjoy challenges.”

Thierry Comtois, Joey Richard and Danick Crète are still out of the line-up.
