Carol-Ann MacDonald and Bryan Thomas are U de M athletes of the week

Cross-country runners Carol-Ann MacDonald, of Irishtown, and Bryan Thomas, of Shippagan, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period from October 23 to 29, 2017 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department, Moncton campus.

Carol-Ann MacDonald was the bronze medal winner by finishing in third spot at the Atlantic University Sport cross-country Championships, held in Wolfville on Saturday. Her third championship, she covered the 8 km distance in a time of 31:11,8, 15 seconds behind second place. She was named on the AUS all-star team. It has been many years since an Aigles Bleues runner has won a medal. She is a sciences-nutrition student.

Bryan Thomas ran his fifth and last AUS championship and took 14^th spot in a time of 34:21,75. He was looking for a top 15, an objective he realized by giving every ounce of energy in his body. He is a bachelor of engineering–civil student.
