Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (0-2-1=1 point, 6th position) cross the Confederation Bridge on Friday evening to meet the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (1-1-0=2 points, 5th position), in an Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey game, in Charlottetown.

The Panthers were 7-6 overtime winners in the first game between the two teams last week in Moncton. They also won one exhibition game between the two squads.

“This is a revenge game for us,” said Moncton coach Judes Vallée. “They have two wins against us, so we will base our game plan on the same mentality as we did on Wednesday. We gave up many shots on goal, but we played much better defensively. We need to copy that and get some confidence. We have had a few confidence moments, but we need a win for a full confidence booster. The players worked hard on Wednesday, but they must play more intelligently and as a team. Our first victory is not far.”

“We played much better on Wednesday and we need to build on that for Friday,” said defenceman Samuel Roussy. “Defensively, we were better and it worked. With only two days between games, we need to keep our legs going and build on our game plan. The players know we lost in overtime and we plan on winning this game.”

Alexis Roy, Thierry Comtois and Joey Richard, three forwards, will miss the game because of injuries. Brandon Thibeau should start in goal.
