Hockey Aigles Bleus to host Varsity Reds on Wednesday

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (0-1-1=1 point, 6^th position) host University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds (2-0-0=4 points, 1^st position) in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action, on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

The visitors were 6-2 winners in the first game between the two teams, last week in the capital.

“It is important for us to unite our forces and play much better defensively,” stated Moncton coach Judes Vallée. “Our players need to be disciplined on the ice and learn to better manage our game. Our emotions must be in check, whether we are ahead in the game or we are behind in the scoring.”

“The defensive squad must play much better defensively and be solid on the ice,” added defenceman and assistant captain, Danick Emond. “We cannot give them scoring chances. We played with them for many minutes in the last game. They scored three rapid goals in a few minutes to take the lead. We can and must do better. We have to concentrate on the minute details, have our sticks in front of the net and don’t offer rebounds.”
