Katrine LeBlanc and Jean-François Plante are U de M athletes of the week

Soccer player Katrine LeBlanc, of St-Hubert, and hockey player Jean-François Plante, of Sherbrooke, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period from September 18 to 24 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Rookie forward Katrine LeBlanc has been the most consistent player thus far this season. She was chosen Subway player of the game in the Saturday 1-0 win against Dalhousie University Tigers and greatly contributed to the victory. She added a goal and two shots on goal in the Sunday loss to Acadia University Axewomen. She is a multidisciplinary bachelor student.

Forward Jean-François Plante did have a good weekend with four goals in two games against Concordia University Stingers, in exhibition men’s hockey. He was a dominant player on the ice. He is a bachelor of kinesiology student.
