Katryne Villeneuve and Allain Saulnier are named athletes of the week

Hockey players Katryne Villeneuve, of Casselman, Ontario and Allain Saulnier, of Cap-Pelé, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period of January 30 to February 5, 2017 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Forward Katryne Villeneuve registered a goal on 7 shots in the game between the Aigles Bleues and the Dalhousie Tigers. She also won 17 of 28 face-offs. She added an assist and 11 shots on goal in the Sunday 4-1 win over Mount Allison Mounties. She was also good on 13 of 24 face-offs. She is ranked 10th in the AUS scoring race with 4 goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 23 games. She is a bachelor student in recreation, sport and tourism administration.

Allain Saulnier scored two of the team’s three goals last week in the Aigles Bleus two games. He is the third best AUS scorer with 6 goals and 34 assists for 40 points. He is tops in Canada and AUS in assists. He took 4 shots on goal on Saturday. He is a master of administration (finances) student.
