Hockey Aigles Bleues to play two home games

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues are presently in a three team battle for the last two playoff spots and they get an opportunity to better their chances of securing one with two home games this weekend, in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action.

The Aigles (6-10-3=15pts, 5th position) will host two teams higher in the standings, the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women (11-7-0=22pts, 4th position), on Saturday, and the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (14-2-3=31pts, 2nd position), on Sunday. Both games will start at 2 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena. Both of these teams are already assured a spot in the playoffs.

"We aim to win one of the two weekend games," coach Denis Ross said. "We have five games left to play in regular season. These will be two intense games, but we will be ready. These last games will serve as a good planner for the playoffs. We wish to build our confidence and our motivation for the end of the season."

Gabrielle Forget will be in front of the net on Saturday. All players are able to play.
