Volleyball Aigles Bleues to host Axewomen

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues will host Acadia University Axewomen on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Ceps Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium, in Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball action.

The Monette Boudreau-Carroll troop is presently in fourth spot in the standings with a 6 and 6 record for 12 points with seven games left in regular season play. The Axewomen follow in fifth place with 3 and 12 for 6 points. Moncton has won 23 sets and lost 21 while the visitors are 14 and 41.

"The game is another learning opportunity for my players," Boudreau-Carroll said. "We did face some difficulty last Sunday in Halifax. I have too many injured players and I need to try some in new roles. We cannot take the Axewomen for granted according to the statistics. They work hard and nothing is won in advance, even they are behind us in the standings. We need to play a good game to regain our confidence and our abilities in the game."
