Michel Doucet one of 2016’s most influential francophones

Michel Doucet has been named one of the 10 most influential francophones in Canada by the Francopresse.ca news website. He is a professor in the Université de Moncton’s law faculty and the director of the Observatoire international des droits linguistiques (“International Observatory on Linguistic Rights”). He also ranked 11th in L’Acadie Nouvelle’s list of the 30 most influential francophone New Brunswickers.

Professor Doucet’s influence in the area of linguistic rights has been felt for a considerable amount of time in a number of ways, however the campaign he led in 2016 against the anti-French comments posted by readers in the CBC News website comments section did not go unnoticed.
