Karine Roy and Carl Marois are the athletes of the week

Hockey players Karine Roy, of Nigadoo, and Carl Marois, of Montmagny, Québec, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period of January 2 to 8, 2017 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Team captain Karine Roy scored two goals, including the winner in the only Aigles Bleues game, a 3-2 overtime victory. She was +2 in the game with three shots on goal. The second game of the weekend was postponed because of poor road conditions. She is a masters of business administration student.

Carl Marois made his entry in university hockey playing his first two games with the men’s Aigles Bleus. He scored the lone goal in his team’s 4-1 loss on Saturday. It was his first university career goal. He had two shots on goal in each of the two games. He is a business administration student.
