Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (2-2-2=6pts, 4th- tied) will play two homes games against lower classified teams in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action on the weekend.

The Denis Ross coached team, that lost its last game, will host Mount Allison University Mounties (1-5-0=2pts, 7th position), on Saturday and the Dalhousie University Tigers (1-4-1=3pts, 6th position), on Sunday. Both games will start at 2 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

According to forward Katryne Villeneuve, the Aigles Bleues want nothing less than the four points this weekend. "A win in each game in our nest is our objective," Villeneuve said. "We are capable, but we will have to play our best. To attain our goal in the first semester, two wins are needed. Our defensive zone play will need to be better and our goaltenders will make the saves. The forwards need to score goals to win."

"The four points are our goal," added coach Denis Ross. "It was a subject matter at a practice this week. These two teams are coming to Moncton to win; they are not interested in sliding lower in the standings. These are two important games for us."

Notes… Gabrielle Forget will be assigned as the goaltender for both games... Judyane Bernier and Jessica Duclos are injured… the Mounties have allowed 27 goals in 6 games this season, the worst record of the league… Moncton had offered 16 and the Tigers, 19…. The X-Women are tops in scoring with 24 while Moncton has 13 goals... Karine Roy is the top Aigles Bleues scorer with 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points and ranked 7th overall.
