18 U de M cross country athletes in Halifax
The Université de Moncton will send 18 athletes at the Dalhousie and Saint Mary’s universities cross country Atlantic University Sport races, Saturday in Halifax.Coach Jean-Marc Doiron will not bring his top women racers, giving them a break until the UNB races, the following weekend, in Fredericton.
''It will be different for the men because I will have a full roster, except for Rémi Poitras,'' Doiron said. ''I look forward to seeing the Memorial University teams. They captured the bronze medal last year. They attend only a few races each season, including the AUS.''
The Université de Moncton runners for the men’s 8 km race are Jérémie Pellerin, Nassim Bousmaha, Raphaël Choquette, Jean-Christophe Comeau, Vincent Leclair, François Pelletier, Jean-Luc Richard, Daniel Saucier, Ryan Smallwood and Bryan Thomas. The women in the 6 km distance are Sandra Durand, Caroline Bujold, Lindsay Gauvin, Amy Lynn Grant, Émilie Guthrie, Pascale Richard, Vanessa Rowe and Fanny Tournay.
