With four games to play before the December break, the Université de Moncton's Aigles Bleus will play two of them this weekend in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey.

The Blue and Gold (4-9-1-0=9pts,7th position) will be on the road in Nova Scotia on Friday for a duel with the Saint Mary's University Huskies (7-6-1-0=15pts, 3rd position) in Halifax. It will be the mid-season game, the 15th in the 30-game regular schedule. Saturday in its nest at the J.-Louis-Lévesque arena, the Judes Vallée troupe will host the Acadia University Axemen (5-10-0-0=10pts, 6th position) in a game of great value for both teams at the bottom of the standings.

“We play against teams right in front of us, so it's important to have good games and we will start with Friday,” pointed out Judes Vallée. “These are the most important of our season and we will look for a road victory. We need to be aware of our potential. We scored goals and the man advantage is better. Our special units play quite well, and we must be better at 5 against 5. With a good defence, we will generate good offence.”

For defender Yann-Félix Lapointe, “in the last two games, we found our identity. We must trust our play and execute the game plan. That's what we must do this weekend and not put pressure on ourselves. We need to do the small things well and have confidence in our means. Defensively, we want to give the other team fewer chances as possible to score. We have good goalkeepers. We must also relaunch our attack to generate offensive and avoid turnovers. We will give ourselves a good chance of winning. My adaptation is going well, at first it was more of a shock in a men's league, the fast game, and many body checks. In general, it's going well, and we must continue like this and have fun to play. We cannot afford days off. I am satisfied with my performance. I've matured in my game and I'm making better decisions with the puck. »

In brief – Nathaël Roy has taken 60 shots on goal so far this season. He leads his team’s offensive output with 11 goals, 8 assists for 19 points in 14 games. Mika Cyr follows with 6-7=13 points. Moncton has scored 31 goals and added 56 assists in 14 games.
