Two weekend Aigles Bleus home hockey games

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (2-7-10=5pts,7th position) have two special home games this weekend at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action in Moncton.

The Saint Mary's University Huskies (4-5-1-0=9pts,5th position) will be the opponents Friday and the Acadia University Axemen (4-7-0-0=8pts, 6th position), Saturday, both games at 7 p.m. The games will be presented in front of the parents of the players invited for the occasion. The pressure will be more intense to win two consecutive games for the first time this season against teams directly placed above the blue and gold in the standings.

“The presence of parents will be an added motivation for our players this weekend,” said head coach Judes Vallée. “It is important for us to rebuild our fragile confidence with two wins. The players are aware, they work hard without results in the end. We hope to turn the tide this weekend with the energies of the parents, the fans and incredible play by the players.”

Some injured players may return to action, but a decision will only be made on the day of the game. Some players were placed in situations quite quickly and had to play several minutes of play with the fatigue that accumulates.

Fans are allowed at the games; but wearing a face mask is always mandatory unless a person drinks liquid or eats food. Proof of dual COVID-19 vaccination and a government-issued ID card are required prior to entering the arena.
