Cassandra Call and Georges Musitu are UMoncton athletes of the week
Cassandra Call, of Navan, Ontario and Georges Musitu, of Ottawa, Ontario, are the athletes of the week from October 11 to 17 as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
A defenseman, Cassandra Call had an impact with her scoring and her very solid defensive game during the Aigles Bleues first two wins in women's Atlantic University Sport hockey last week. She blocked shots and was a very reliable player in both games. She found the back of the net twice on Saturday with two shots, and was chosen Subway player of the game and finished +1 on Wednesday, her shootout goal to be the winner. She is a fourth-year bachelor in education - physical education student.
Georges Musitu, a rookie with the Aigles Bleus, by his determination and his play led his team to a 2-0 victory Sunday in AUS men's soccer. He scored both of his team's goals on Sunday and had found the back of the net once Saturday in the Blue and Gold's 3-1 setback. He caused difficulties to the opposing teams with his speed and technique. He played 90 minutes on Saturday with three shots on goal and 45 minutes on Sunday with three more kicks. He got all three of his team’s weekend goals. He is a first-year bachelor of business - multi program student.
