Following two setbacks at the beginning of the season, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (0-2=7th position) will have the chance to recover with two Atlantic University Sport men's hockey weekend games.

The Blue and Gold travels to Wolfville, Nova Scotia on Friday to face the Acadia University Axemen (1-2=4th position) at 7 p.m. Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena, the Judes Vallée team will host Saint Mary's University Huskies (0-2= 6th position).

"We have to find a way to win and score goals," said coach Judes Vallée, who is looking for better offensive production from his team. “We can't afford to fall behind in the standings, the season is short. We need to play more disciplined. Center Remy Englehart (injured) should be able to play. The other four injured players are still doubtful for the weekend. We must play better hockey. We always have close games against these two teams. Every game for us is like in the playoffs. Émile Samson (goalie) played well in the first games, but we have to help him on the ice. »

Veteran defender Alexandre Bernier is looking forward to getting back on the road to victory. "We have no choice but to win," he rushed to say. “Our start to the season is not what we expected. We must do better on the ice. We do not have any pressure yet, but minor changes must be made. There are too many reversals. Our rookies are adapting well and have the chance to play. The team must play as a whole and offensively, we have to take advantage of our chances and score.”

Spectators are admitted to Saturday night's game. However, a face mask must always be worn properly in the arena, except when drinking fluid or actively eating. Proof of dual vaccination and a government ID card will also be required before accessing the arena.
