Head coach Marc-André Côté and his team get a chance to return to play this weekend as the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues host the Quebec based CÉGEP de Limoilou Titans in two exhibition games in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey.

The games are scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena. These are the first games of the 2021-2022 season for our Aigles Bleues who return to action following almost two years of practice.

“We have offered a lot of material to our players the last two weeks and now, we need to put that all together,” stated Marc-André Côté. “Many players have not played for almost a year and a half, so this will be their return to play moment. We will also get an idea where we stand in our planning for the season. We have 9 returning players from two years ago with many rookies and I look forward to getting an idea how they will manage to play together. Limoilou has one of the best CEGEP teams in Quebec and they consistently do well at national tournaments. It is a very good college program. This will be good for our rookies and veterans.”

Team captain Janie Poitras is back with the team for a fifth season as are both goaltenders, Audrey Berthiaume and Mélodie Arsenault and players Pascale Lebeau, Cassandra Call, Catherine Longchamp, Émilie Lalancette, Isadora Quirion and Alexia Desforges.

Spectators are welcome to the games and must always wear a face mask inside the rink.
