Soccer at its best awaits spectators on Saturday and Sunday at the Stade Medavie Blue Cross Stadium on the Université de Moncton campus in Atlantic University Sport action.

The Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus will host St. Francis Xavier University on Saturday and Cape Breton University on Sunday. The women's games are at 1 p.m. and the men's at 3:15 p.m. on both days. The Aigles Bleues (0 and 1) will face the X-Women (2 and 0) and the Capers (1 and 0) while the Aigles Bleus (0 and 1) will be looking for a first victory against the X-Men (2 and 0) and the Capers (1 and 0). These opponents are ranked in the top 10 in Canada.

According to head coach Mehyar Zekaroui, "We want to focus on our game plan. Regardless of our opponent, we want to achieve our objectives. Last week was a good starting point and we want to continue with the same intensity with improvements. Our opponents will give us an even greater challenge this week. With good training and confidence, we can play two good games. We aim for one or two points. Other than Alexandra Roy, all the players should be available, and Isabelle Brun has been added to the squad. We will see during the games, but a good player rotation will enable several players a chance to play. »

"We play against two of the top teams in Canada," said head coach Younes Bouida of the Aigles Bleus. “The catchphrase is easy; we have everything to gain and they have everything to lose. We will play hard and test our limits. The defensive organization will have to be perfect; and we will take our chances and score. We have analyzed our opponents and we have some injuries. We will decide on the appropriate rosters for each game. It will be necessary to rotate players to reduce fatigue and give the maximum experience to the rookies. Our players got a taste of the AUS in our first game and that broke the ice. It took the pressure off. It will be two games against the best players. »

Spectators are welcome at the stadium for all games. Wearing a face mask is always required.
