Joline Richard To Lead the Université de Moncton Women’s Volleyball Team
Joline Richard has been named head coach of the Université de Moncton women’s volleyball team starting on Monday, June 14, 2021.
Ms. Richard has extensive experience as an elite athlete. She played on the Université de Moncton women’s volleyball team for five years, from 2010 to 2015. She was the team captain and was named to the U SPORT Honour Roll.
“Joline Richard is known as a team builder and a community leader,” said Martine LeBlanc, head of Sports and Recreational Activities. “We are very proud of her appointment. She’s dynamic and highly motivated to advance our women’s volleyball program. I’m convinced of her potential and we’re eager to work with her and contribute to this phase in her career.”
Ms. Richard has in-depth knowledge of the U SPORT program and of the situation in the world of volleyball in New Brunswick. She has over six years of experience as a head coach for the New Brunswick, Bleu et Or, Fuzion high performance and Crandall University teams.
She holds a Bachelor of Recreation degree from the Université de Moncton and is trained as an advanced development coach. She participated in the Canadian Francophone Games in 2008 and in the Canada Games in 2009.
