Donald J. Savoie Institute and McGill–Queen’s University Press Reach Agreement on Louis J. Robichaud Collection

The Donald J. Savoie Institute (DJSI) has signed a four-year agreement with McGill–Queen’s University Press (MQUP) concerning the creation of the Louis J. Robichaud Collection.

This collection will bring together peer-reviewed publications on Canadian public policy, regionalism and related topics. It will be located at MQUP in Montreal, Quebec, as well as in Kingston, Ontario.

Funded by the DJSI and published by MQUP, the collection will be made available to researchers at universities across Atlantic Canada on the condition that their works be aligned to its mandate.

“The DJSI welcomes this major collaboration with MQUP,” stated Dr. Donald J. Savoie, interim director of the DJSI. “This collection will give greater visibility to the work of Atlantic Canadian university researchers exploring fundamental public policy issues while also producing high social value-added research works.”

“McGiII-Queen’s University Press, Executive Director Philip Cercone remarked, is both delighted and honoured to be partnering with DJSI as the publisher of the Louis J. Robichaud series. During the long history of the Press, it has published the vast majority of books by scholars and researchers residing in Atlantic Canada. Thanks to the generous support of IDJS, titles in this landmark series will enrich and expand MQUP’s distinguished lists on public policy and regionalism.”

The Louis J. Robichaud Collection is named after the former New Brunswick premier, who is recognized as one of Canada’s great political leaders of the 20th century and one of the founders of the Université de Moncton.
