Tentative Teaching Plan for the Winter 2021 Session to Be Essentially Unchanged from Fall 2020

With a few minor exceptions, the teaching plan for the winter 2021 session will be the same as that currently in place for the fall 2020 session.

Highlights of the teaching plan for the winter 2021 session are as follows:

  • All courses on all campuses will be delivered remotely on an exceptional basis during the week of January 11–15, 2021. The purpose of this measure is to accommodate students and faculty members who are required to self-isolate for 14 days so that they can do so beginning after January 1.
  • For courses offered in person, the first in-person classes on all campuses will start up beginning on January 18, 2021.
  • Some programs including a practical learning component will require that enrolled students be physically present on campus.
  • Other programs will be offered either via distance learning or in person depending on the student’s year and the campus.
  • On the Moncton campus, practical programs offered in person include those in the fine arts and selected science and health sciences programs.

“This approach positions us to cope effectively with the challenges of teaching during the pandemic,” stated Gilles Roy, Vice-President, Academic and Research. “We are striving to continue offering a quality education while also maintaining the safety of all members of the university community when classes resume in January 2021.”

For more information on the delivery modes of study programs (distance or in-person learning), please consult the Edmundston campus, Moncton campus and Shippagan campus websites (available in French only).
