Another Université de Moncton record for Omalosanga in 60m

Véronique Omalosanga established a 60m Université de Moncton record in a time of 7.67 seconds good for second place at the annual Saint Mary’s University track meet on Sunday in Halifax.

She also did well in the 300m race with a second place in a time of 41.45 seconds. Caroline Gagnon continued to impress in the 60mh with a time of 9.20 seconds, 2nd fastest in Atlantic University Sport. The women had nine personal bests in 14 events. The men had 16 personal bests in 18 performances.

“These are encouraging because I see a progression in our team members,” stated Moncton coach Steve LeBlanc. “I believe we will be ready for the AUS championships, in two weeks. They are arriving at their top performance at the right time.”
