Women’s Volleyball: Aigles Bleues to Host Reds
In Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-8=8 points, 5th position) are hosting the University of New Brunswick Reds (5-5=10 points, 4th position) on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud, Moncton campus.
Moncton has eight games left in regular schedule the Reds have 10. Both teams are battling for the fourth and final playoff spot. Moncton lost its last two games whereas UNB won its last two.
“All the players are aware of the importance of this game,” coach Monette Boudreau-Carroll said. “We need a win and if we work hard, we should come out ahead. We must continue to battle for a spot in the playoffs. Christelle Bertin will not be able to play, and that affects us, but we will play our game.”
Christelle Bertin will miss the game because of an injury.
