Women’s Volleyball: Aigles Bleues Play Two Games
In Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-6=8 points, 5th position) play two weekend games.
The Bleu et Or play two teams higher in the standings. They meet the Acadia University Axewomen (5-4=10 points, 3rd position) on Friday in Wolfville. They host the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (6-3=12 points, 2nd position) on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium.
“Our objective is to improve our play and to obtain better results compared to the first semester,” Moncton coach Monette Boudreau-Carroll said. “We are on the right road to win more games. We had very good and productive practices over the holidays. We did win four games against the Sea-Hawks in the first semester. Now, we need to win games against the other teams. This young team is progressing.”
All team members are available to play this weekend. Moncton has 10 games left in the regular schedule and needs to finish top four to qualify for the playoffs.
The Aigles Bleues’ last game was played on November 17.
