Women’s Hockey: Aigles Bleues to host Panthers
In Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (3-14-1=7 points, 7th position) will host the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (14-3-1=29 points, 2nd position) this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque in the first game of the second semester.
“Each game is like our last one and nothing is impossible for us,” mentioned Aigles Bleues team captain, Katherine Dubuc. “We need to bring our game up a notch and with the confidence and the quality of our players, we can accomplish our goal. Offensively, we must bring more pucks to the net and score.”
Coach Marc-André Côté says his troops must play a full 60 minutes and not just five. “We are only three points behind the sixth place, currently held by the Dalhousie Tigers, and that is a nice challenge for us,” Côté mentioned. “We control our destiny. We will have to battle to get out of the hole. The playoffs are still a strong possibility, but we need points. We have a favourable schedule and we will take advantage of it.”
