Women’s Hockey: Aigles Bleues Host Gaiters this Sunday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues are getting ready for the second semester by playing an exhibition hockey game against the Bishop’s University Gaiters on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.
The game will be the only one before the beginning of the Atlantic University Sport second semester regular schedule, next Wednesday. The game previously scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled.
The Gaiters goaltender is Jade Shushu Saulnier-Cyr, of Shediac, who played with the Louis-J.-Robichaud Patriotes.
“All players are available to play Sunday,” said Moncton coach, Marc-André Côté. “We need to get ready for the second semester that begins next week. The game should be interesting because the Gaiters want to prove themselves as they hope to join U SPORTS next year. We did hold several practices this week to refresh our systems of play.”
Moncton (3-14-1=7 points, 7th position) will host the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (14-3-1=29 points, 2nd position) next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
