Noël à la Caserne with Roger Lord
Pianist Roger Lord, professor in the Department of Music, and his talented guests gather for the 4th edition of Noël à la Caserne (in French only) for two consecutive shows at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, on Sunday, December 15 at 3 p.m. (sold out) and 7 p.m.
Roger Lord is once again offering a Christmas special in the spirit of the holiday season. The Noël à la Caserne show is a wonderful concentration of talent designed by the pianist and produced by the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre.
“It is a great pleasure for us to prepare and present this show designed in the style of the American Christmas Specials,” mentions Mr. Lord. “We have sold out over the last few years, and the audience seems to really appreciate the variety and good humour of this show. People come back to see us year after year. It’s a good sign. We always like to offer them new surprises! We really have a lot of fun!”
Mr. Lord will be joined by Lina Boudreau, singer, Monette Gould, soprano, accompanied by her choir Voce dell’Anima, Michel Deschênes, percussionist, Andrew Creeggan, musician formerly of the Barenaked Ladies group, Thierry Basque and Zhentong Wang, promising young pianists as well as Mélissa LeBlanc and Courtney Wagner in tap dance acts.
The unique concert is a new creation based on a palette of artistic expressions and universes renewed each year, combining in a festive and joyful spirit different repertoires of music—classical, popular, lounge and traditional—humour and dance.
