Eight Teams at Bleu et Or Tournament
The annual Bleu et Or girls high school hockey tournament will feature eight teams this weekend at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus.
The Louis-J.-Robichaud Patriotes, the Népisiguit Rebelles, the Miramichi Valley Pulamoo and the Mathieu-Martin Vedettes all play in the blue division. The L’Odyssée Olympiennes, the Fredericton Black Kats, the Louis-Mailloux Acadiennes and the Clément-Cormier Cavalières are in the gold division.
The first tournament game will be on Friday as Miramichi and Mathieu-Martin tangle at 1 p.m. The Vedettes and Patriotes play the last game at 8 p.m. There are seven games on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Semifinals are held on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with the championship game at 3:30 p.m.
The Clément-Cormier Cavalières are defending champions. The public is invited to attend the game.
