The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (3-4-2=8 points, 5th position) are looking to get back on the winning track on Friday as they host the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) Panthers (1-5-1=3 points, 7th position) at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action.

Moncton lost its last game to the University of New Brunswick Reds on Wednesday, and the coach has little time to change his game plan before the encounter with the Panthers, who lost their last four games.

“A victory is a necessity for us, everything is going so fast,” indicated coach Judes Vallée. “All the things we did not do on Wednesday, we have to do them on Friday. We need to regroup, go to the net and play well defensively. We gave up too many things on Wednesday. If we do the same thing on Friday, we will have the same fate.”

“We cannot lose two home games in a row,” said forward Joey Richard. “We need to come out stronger than we did on Wednesday and get the two points. There were too many sudden changes and penalties in the first period on Wednesday, and they set the tone for the rest of the game. We do not have any choice; we must focus our attention to Friday’s game and get the two points.”

“We cannot lose the game to UPEI,” said goaltender Étienne Montpetit. “We will come out strong and learn from Wednesday’s loss.”
