Sophie Black and Maxime St-Cyr are Université de Moncton Athletes of the Week

Cross-country runner Sophie Black, of Dieppe, and hockey player Maxime St-Cyr, of Saint-Didace, were chosen as athletes of the week for the period from October 21 to 27, 2019 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Sophie Black took the 19^th spot with a time of 32:40. at the Atlantic University Sport cross-country championship held on Saturday in Fredericton She was part of the group of front runners for a while, until she had to reduce her speed. She is a nutrition student.

Maxime St-Cyr scored two goals, including the winning one on the power play and the second shorthanded. He added two assists in his team’s first two goals in their 5-4 win over the Dalhousie University Tigers on Friday. He took seven shots on goal, was +2 in the game and won 14 of 27 face-offs. He is an administration (accounting) student.
