Pascale Doiron and Alexis Roy are Université de Moncton Athletes of the Week

Volleyball player Pascale Doiron, of Dieppe, New Brunswick, and hockey forward Alexis Roy, of Amos, Québec, were chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period from January 28 to February 3, 2019 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Off-side Pascale Doiron was a leader for her team on the court during the two weekend games in women’s volleyball. A fourth-year student, she is a mentor for her younger teammates. She accumulated 20 kills and 30 digs in the two games. She is a social work student.

Forward Alexis Roy was a work horse in his team’s two games last week with the Aigles Bleus men’s hockey. He had two assists on Wednesday evening and had a shot on goal. He created several situations by going into the corners and coming out with the puck and passing to a teammate. He is an administration (finance) student.
