Katryne Villeneuve and Ryan Chiasson are U de M athletes of the week

Hockey players Katryne Villeneuve, of Casselman, Ontario, and Ryan Chiasson, of Dieppe, were chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period of November 26 to December 2, 2018 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Katryne Villeneuve was credited with three assists last Wednesday as her Aigles Bleues team registered a 4-2 win over Mount Allison University Mounties. She ended the game at +1 with 9 shots on goal and won 6 of 11 face-offs. She ends the first semester tied for first place in the AUS scoring race with 19 points, including a league-leading 11 goals. She is a leisure, sport and tourism management student.

A winger, Ryan Chiasson had an assist and took four shots on goal in the Aigles Bleus 4-1 win against Dalhousie University Tigers on Friday. He ended the Saturday game at +1 in the 3-2 win over St. Francis Xavier University X-Men. He was a very important element on the ice in each of his shifts in both games. He is a bachelor of administration (finances) student.
