Aigles Bleues to host Mounties

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (6-8-1=13 points, 6^th position) will host rivals Mount Alison University Mounties (2-10-0=6 points, 8^th position) at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena, this Wednesday at 7 p.m. in an Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey game.

Aigles Bleues complete the first semester with their 16^th of 28 games of the season. « I expect a much better performance than last Friday from the team, » stated Moncton coach Marc-André Côté. « We need to protect our nest. The Mounties have a hard-working team and it will be important for us to begin playing at 7 p.m. and not wait for the second period. With this last semester game, the holidays will much better with a win and we aim to finish 2018 on a positive note. »

Moncton has won the two previous encounters between the two teams with scores of 1-0 and 7-2, the last game having been played the previous Wednesday in Sackville. Moncton lost its last game and the Mount Allison their last four. The Aigles Bleues scored 31 goals and allowed 43, compared to 19 and 48 for the visitors. All players are available to play for the local team.
