Hockey Aigles Bleues to Play Return Game Wednesday in Charlottetown

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-5-0=8 points, 5^th position) will travel to Charlottetown on Wednesday for a return encounter with the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (3-4-1=7 points, 6^th position) for a second game between these two teams in four days in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action.

The Marc-André Côté coached team won the first game 1-0 in overtime on Saturday in Moncton. The Wednesday game should also prove very interesting.

“We reviewed the Saturday game video to be better prepared for the game,” indicated Côté. “The last week was hard because we played three games. We gave the players a day off with practices on Monday and Tuesday to be ready.”

Moncton won two games in a row last week for the first time this season. Rookie goaltender Audrey Berthiaume has registered two shutouts in a row, including the Saturday game. “I know we will have a good performance on Wednesday,” she indicated. “The Panthers will be waiting for us, but we will be ready for another win. We play well defensively, and I have confidence in my defencemen. We have adjusted to the style of play and I am progressing with every game.”
