Hockey Aigles Bleues to Host Martlets Friday
Head coach Marc-André Côté is looking forward to this game to see how his players react and to get ready for the first matchup of the season. It will also mark his first game as head coach. “We aim to see if the players can apply what they learned in practice and see our progression,” said Côté. “We look forward to playing against a very good McGill team. We will not see them often this season. It should provide a good measure and a very good first experience for our rookies against a good team.”
Côté will have a better idea of the progression of his first year and veteran players. “I want to know where they are in their development,” he said. “Our roster is complete, and it is up to the players to show us what they can achieve. We have two exhibition games against good teams and I should know what we are capable of achieving.”
The second game will be on September 21 against the first-year University of New Brunswick Reds team.
