During the donor recognition ceremony and investiture of the Order of Regents and the Order of the Chancellor, Bernard Lord, Co-Chair of the Evolution Fundraising Campaign, unveiled the new peak reached by the Campaign: $30 million.

“We have been the beneficiaries of exceptional generosity from our many donors. We are getting close to our goal of $50 million,” said the Campaign Co-Chairs, Camille Thériault and Bernard Lord. “The members of the Board will continue to solicit donations in their respective regions and we encourage you to give generously. When you donate, you are choosing to be part of the evolution of the Université de Moncton, an institution that plays a leading role in the development not only of Acadian society but of society in general.”

The Campaign will allow the Université de Moncton to support five major projects grouped around two broad themes: excellence in student experience and excellence in research and development.

“I want to praise the work of the members of the Campaign’s Board, under the leadership of Co-Chairs Bernard Lord and Camille Thériault. They are working very hard on this major project to allow the Université de Moncton to look toward the future,” added Acting President and Vice-Chancellor Jacques Paul Couturier. “These generous gifts will be used to further the development of our institution and our capacity to provide the highest standard of education to our students.”

The five transformative projects covered by the Campaign involve research and development, Acadian Studies, the environment and health. Improvements to the scholarship and financial assistance program and modernization of facilities on the three campuses will provide a truly exceptional student experience at the Université de Moncton.
