The Université de Moncton Among Canada’s Best Employers

The Université de Moncton is on the prestigious Forbes magazine’s list of Canada’s best employers.

The main question asked was whether people would recommend their employers to someone else. A scale of 0 to 10 was used, with 10 being the highest ranking. The Université de Moncton obtained a score of 8.62 out 10, putting it in 48th place in a list of 300 Canadian businesses and institutions with over 500 employees operating in 25 sectors.

Acting President and Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton, Jacques Paul Couturier, is delighted with this result. “People are the most essential resource for a post-secondary establishment like ours. Our professors, our instructors, our support staff and our executives all contribute to fulfilling our mission to teach, to carry out research and to serve the community. I want to sincerely thank all the staff who have contributed to forging a positive image for the Université across the country.”

Survey data was compiled with the help of statistical firm Statista. The 8000 respondents were surveyed using an online questionnaire, not by their employer. Sex, age, region, education level and ethnic identity were representative of Canadian employees in general.
