Hockey Aigles Bleues to host X-Women, Saturday

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0-1) have been in this situation before and they intend to make a comeback as they host the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women (1-0) in the second game of the Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey best of three semifinals, Saturday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

The first game on Wednesday saw the X-Women blank Moncton 4-0.

“We know what didn’t work for us on Wednesday as we gave up three first-period goals,” Moncton coach Denis Ross said. “Gabrielle Forget was a bit nervous, and she played much better as the game progressed. She will go all out on Saturday. We also had a few injuries during the game, but those players will be back for Saturday. I don’t expect anything special. We will play our game plan, and force a third game.”

Gabrielle Forget will play in nets and the trios should be the same as last Wednesday.
