Aigles Bleus-Tigers Dual Wednesday in Halifax

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (3-21-2=8 points, 7th position) are holding on to the playoffs by a very thin thread, and it could be severed Wednesday as they travel to Halifax for a matchup with the Dalhousie University Tigers (7-18-1=15 points, 6th position) in an Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey game at the Forum, in Halifax.

Moncton has four remaining regular scheduled games with a seven-point deficit with the Tigers, sitting in the sixth and final playoff spot. A tie game will allow the Tigers to advance. Moncton has not won a game in 2018, and was blanked 4-0 by the Tigers in the last game between the teams. Moncton has lost its last nine games.

“We are still alive, and we will battle until the end,” Moncton coach Judes Vallée said. “We have respect for our last year players, our institution and our fans. We will finish this season with pride and on a high note. We have a high mountain in front of us, and nothing will be easy. We will give everything we have until our last game.”

Defencemen Danick Emond is out for the rest of the season because of an injury. Brandon Thibeau will be between the pipes for the match. The game can be seen free of charge on AUStv.ca.
