Hockey Aigles Bleus in Charlottetown on Wednesday

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (1-11-2=4pts, 7th position) will visit the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers (4-9-1=9pts, 5th position) on Wednesday evening in Charlottetown for an Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey game.

“This is a game we cannot afford to lose,” Moncton coach Judes Vallée said. “We can beat this team. We are both having similar situations. We need to be mentally ready and the players know of the importance of the game for us. We held two practices to be ready and we focused on special units and getting out of our zone, where we have had difficulties in other games. We also talked about our mental strength as a team.”

Forward Joël Blanchard is looking forward to this game. “A victory is a must,” stated Blanchard. “This is our third outing against each other and we cannot afford to lose two points. We need to focus on our defensive play and not forget to take advantage of our scoring chances.”

Alexi Thibaudeau will be the goaltender for the game. The Panthers won 7-6 in overtime and 8-2 in the first two games.
