U de M cross country teams in Antigonish

Université de Moncton teams head to Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Saturday, for the last cross-country race before the Atlantic University Sport championships, in Wolfville, October 28.

The Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus will partake in their fourth race of the season, in five weeks. “We will have a reduced team in Antigonish,” coach Jean-Marc Doiron said. “Following our Quebec race last Saturday on the Plains of Abraham, most of the runners have the necessary experience for the AUS championship. A number of them will take advantage of the time to concentrate on other aspects of the training.”

There are six athletes that need an added competition before the AUS: Vincent Leclair, François Poirier, Myriam Cyr, Myriam Cormier, Émilie Guthrie and Hannah Scott. This will be Vincent’s first race of the season after suffering a leg injury.
