Hockey Aigles Bleus host Panthers on Thursday evening
Fans will get a first opportunity to see the 2017–2018 team under coach Judes Vallée. The team is getting ready for the regular season opener next Wednesday in Fredericton.
“We need to take advantage of this game to make sure we are ready for our regular season opener next week,” stated defenceman Danick Emond. “The cohesion and chemistry amongst the players need to be at its best, and our system of play to become a routine. We played two very good close games against a top team, Concordia, last weekend. This bodes well for the Aigles Bleus this season.”
“Our aim is to finish the exhibition season on a winning note,” added Moncton coach Judes Vallée. “That would give us a 500 average. I have very little knowledge of the Panthers, but we are moving forward in our decision-making process. We need a very good game in our home rink to tell opposing teams that it is not easy to come and play the Aigles Bleus at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena. The chemistry between the players is progressing, and there is less hesitation on the ice in our system of play. We wish to take advantage of this last game because we only have four.”
The Aigles Bleus begin their regular season on Wednesday, October 4 in Fredericton against the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds.
