Historic 40th edition of U de M's International Night

Every year for 40 years, the Association des étudiantes et étudiants internationaux du campus universitaire de Moncton (AÉÉICUM) (Université de Moncton’s Moncton campus foreign students’ association) brings together Greater Moncton’s various communities to celebrate their cultural richness. The AÉÉICUM plays a major role in the evening by sharing a message of open-mindedness and tolerance.

The 40th edition of International Night will take place on March 25 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Ceps Louis-J.-Robichaud on the Moncton campus. Canada’s 150th birthday will also be celebrated that night.

Around the world in 180 minutes

This year, International Night will take attendees on an adventure aboard a plane with an Acadian pilot at the controls who – like Antoine de Saint-Exupéry – will find treasure in the place we least expect it. The evening will be a trip around the world in 180 minutes which will thrill attendees of all ages. Enjoy an amazing travel-themed show with traditional dances and songs, theatre, music, martial arts, etc. This will all be accompanied by a delicious meal which includes dishes from the four corners of the globe selected by the organizing committee.

A spectacular and innovative event

International Night is organized in collaboration with all communities and several student associations. Even drones will be there! More than 850 people are expected to attend on Saturday, March 25. To welcome so many people, the AÉÉICUM is looking for volunteers to fill positions at the door. This is a great opportunity for those who want to play an important role in this major event.

Tickets are available at the box office in the Université de Moncton students’ centre Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by calling (506) 858-4554.
