Hockey Aigles Bleues in a must win situation

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0-1) are faced with a must win situation as they host Saint Mary’s University Huskies (1-0) on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in the second game of the Subway Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey 2 of 3 semi-final series.

The Huskies took a 1-0 lead with a 3-2 win on Thursday evening in Halifax.

"Our objective is to return to Halifax for a third game," Moncton coach Denis Ross said. "I know they have a different idea. We held a brief practice on Friday to correct some issues with our defensive zone play and our forechecking. We gave them too much space on Thursday."

The players are aware of the need to win this game or their season will end. "We want our season to be longer," Ross added. "We looked at the video of our Thursday game and we put the emphasis on our play systems. The game will be close, but the outcome will be different."

Gabrielle Forget will be in goal for Moncton. No roster or line-up changes are being considered by Ross.
