Volleyball Aigles Bleues play Varsity Reds

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (7-6=14pts,4th place) will travel to Fredericton on Wednesday for an Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball game against the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds (0-15=pots, 6th position).

The six conference teams have three weeks left in regular season play before the AUS championship at Saint Mary’s, March 3 and 4. Even if they are qualified, each is looking for ways capture the championship title.

"We cannot take the Reds lightly, even if they have not won a match this season," said Moncton coach Monette Boudreau-Carroll. "It will be important for us to play our game and especially, be more consistent on the court. We held three good practices to be ready. UNB has nothing to lose, we have a nice rivalry going between our two teams. It will not be easy because their young team has been progressing."

Even if some players are nursing small injuries, coach Boudreau will be able to count on all her players, except for centre Alyssa Turenne, out for the rest of the season with an injury.
