The J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena will be the site of an important game between the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus and the Dalhousie University Tigers on Friday evening in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action. Both teams have 15 points and are tied for sixth place.

Each team will try hard to win the important two standings points that could make a big difference at the end of the season to qualify for the playoffs.

The Serge Bourgeois coached team (7-12-1) has won the last two matches between the two teams before Christmas. With another game in its nest, he expects his troops to control the play. Moncton has lost its last two games and the Tigers (6-12-3), their last five. Moncton will also travel to Antigonish on Saturday for another encounter with third place St. Francis Xavier University X-Men (12-8-1=25pts).

"All remaining games are very important to get ready for the playoffs," said Moncton defencemen Jean-Sébastien Fournier. "All the players need to step up and play at their best. With Sébastien Gauthier back, we have a very good defensive brigade able to block shots, get the puck out of our zone and help our forwards. We also have to play much better in our nest because of the limited number of games remaining. We will have to adjust our play against the X-Men but the intensity and the aggressiveness will have to be our focus."

"A victory in both games is our aim, but we did have difficulty scoring last weekend and we worked on that this week," stated coach Serge Bourgeois. "We have to play better around their net and also be ready to take advantage of a few rebounds and score. The Tigers are one team we have to win to advance. Against the X-Men, we know it will not be easy, but we did beat them in our last outing and we will build on that momentum to play a good defensive game and score goals."
