Hockey Aigles Bleus to host Tigers on Friday

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (4-9-1=9pts, 7th position) will host Dalhousie University Tigers (10-5-0=20pts, 4th position) on Friday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena for an Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action.

The Tigers have lost their three last outings. Moncton will play the St. Francis Xavier X-Men (10-5-0=20pts, 2nd position) on Saturday in Antigonish. The task at hand will not be easy, but standings points are important for the team to qualify for the playoffs. Moncton has four games before the semester break.

"Our focus is on the good things we did during our Friday victory over UPEI," Moncton coach Serge Bourgeois said. "We want to play the Tigers in the same way, work and execute our small details. I will have the same roster. We will forget the last Saturday game and move forward."

Dieppe forward Robbie Graham is playing his second season and he says the team needs to concentrate on the last four semester games. "These could be the most important of the year," said Graham. "We want to finish on a positive note and be able to continue strong in the second semester to qualify for the playoffs. We cannot abandon and lower our heads, we need to move one step at the time and score. Our second and third lines need to contribute offensively, not only the Saulniers and Plante. It is our turn to help."

Brandon Thibeau will be the goaltender on Friday and Alexi Thibaudeau, on Saturday.
