Aigles Bleues and Mounties clash on Wednesday

The 2-1 loss by the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues last Saturday is still fresh and the team is looking for a revenge on Wednesday evening as they travel to Sackville and the Memorial Civic Center for an Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey game, at 7 p.m.

The Denis Ross coached team (3-3-2=8pts) will meet the Mount Allison University Mounties (2-6-0=4pts) in the away game that promises to be good hockey.

"This is definitely a revenge game for us following our loss on our home ice, on Saturday," said Moncton coach, Denis Ross. "We are going in this game to win the two points to keep our chances of a top 3 finish before the end of the semester. We practiced being able to capitalize on our chances this week and scoring. There is a need to find ways to score goals. I did modify the lines to find some scoring punch. Katherine Dubuc, Katryne Villeneuve and Karine Roy are on one line and Janelle Graham, Marie-Pier Corriveau and Sarah-Ève Mailhot, on the other."

Sabrina Lebrun will be the goaltender for the Aigles Bleues… team captain Karine Roy is U de M top point getter with 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points, 7th in AUS… Katherine Dubuc has 5 points (2-3), in 15th place… defencemen Cassandra Labrie is second in her category with 5 points (3-2)… Moncton has six games left before the break.
