Christelle Bertin and Danick Emond are the athletes of the week

Volleyball athlete Christelle Bertin, of Beresford, and hockey player Danick Emond, of Terrebonne, Québec, have been chosen as Physiotherapy Sportmed athletes of the week for the period of October 31st to November 6 2016 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.

Christelle Bertin played eight sets during her teams two AUS volleyball games on the weekend. She registered 14 kills, 48 attacks and 25 digs in the 3-2 loss to the Huskies on Friday evening. Saturday, she combined for 8 kills, 23 attacks and 11 digs in the 3-0 victory over the Varsity Reds. She was also selected as Subway player of the game. She is a mechanical engineer student.

Hockey defencemen Danick Emond collected an assist in each of his team’s two games during the week in men’s hockey. He was also solid defensively in both games He is a kinesiology student.
