Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (3-2=6pts, 3rd place-tied) will play two games in Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball action on the weekend.

The Aigles Bleues lost their last game against the Huskies in the season tournament opener in Halifax last weekend, but did manage three wins in five games. The Monette Boudreau-Carroll coached team will be in Halifax, again to play a second match against the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (4-1=8pts, 2nd position), on Friday at 7 p.m. and will host, in the Ceps Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium, the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds, on Saturday at 4 p.m. Moncton lost 3-0 to the Huskies and won by the same margin against the Varsity Reds last weekend.

Monette Boudreau-Carroll and her team are looking forward to the rematch with the Huskies and the Varsity Reds. "We lost to the Huskies by our own fault on Sunday," explained Boudreau-Carroll. "It was out last and fifth game of the weekend. We were able to evaluate our play and bring corrections. We want to perform well against UNB since we’ll be in front of our spectators. The league is very competitive and it is hard to predict the results."

Player Christelle Bertin mentioned the players did review the video games of the weekend to identify the plays that were successful. "We did not play intelligently when we lost," she said. "We have to know where and when to attack. Nothing is easy, we have to keep our focus till the end, whether we are ahead or trailing."

The Aigles Bleues were 4 and 12 last season in 5th spot. All the players will be introduced before the game on Saturday.
